Hermit crabs are super fun whilst also being low maintenance. So, they make the ideal first pet. Your kids can select different colour shells, food and water, an enclosure and heaps of cool accessories, ornaments, heat mats, hygrometers and everything else your Krabooz needs to be healthy and happy.
But remember, despite their name, hermit crabs aren’t actually antisocial. In fact, they do best when they are in colonies. And that’s why we strongly suggest having at least two hermit crabs per home.
Bear in mind that they are curious crustaceans that like to explore. So, make sure you have some Krabooz accessories to keep your pet hermit crabs entertained and engaged.
The bigger the crab, the more room they will need. So, if you have a smallish enclosure then probably best to start with small crabs. If you’re not sure, then get in touch with us.
