Description

Speckled Sussex chickens are a heavy breed developed by the English more than a century ago. This variety is called speckled because of the white spangles on the ends of its otherwise dark mahogany colored feathers. They lay light brown eggs and are one of the prettiest and friendliest breeds we have. As a matter of fact, our very first hen ever was a Speckled Sussex (RIP Henrietta). She will never be forgotten.

Sexed to 90% accuracy. Only females sold unless otherwise noted.
