Description

Swinhoe Pheasants were named after the naturalist, Robert Swinhoe, who first described the species in his writings. Also known as the Taiwan Blue Pheasant, the bird is often considered a national symbol to the Taiwanese.
Breeding season falls between March through June. The female typically nests on the ground, and you can expect up to 6 eggs per clutch. Diet consists of seeds, fruit, greens and game bird pellet.
Our pheasants are not pinioned. Clipped wings are available at an additional $2.50 per bird and the trimming can last for four to six months.
